Teach me, not test me.

Well. Haha. Looks like I haven't been blogging much.
I sincerely apologize..
It's that time again.
We'll be facing
Tests, tests and tests.
That's how Malaysian schools roll.
Instead of studying day in and day out so that we'll know which answer to blacken or what to fill in an essay, shouldn't we for once, learn?
That's the very core of schooling systems right.
Have you ever read the Falsafah Pendidikan Negara?
It's like a fictional long baseless sentence that is put up for show.

Well, I can't do anything right? I'm merely a pawn or a guinea pig, a subject of an experiment as our leaders poke and prick at us to see what works and what doesn't.
Sigh,
what a sombre post.
So, in order to level up the emotional scale of this post, here is my uncle's beagle... Milo!!

Oh my god. Effing cute is an understatement. It is gushing like a fountain with adorableness.

The blog choice of adults

Yello.

Looks like I'm about to gain a new colour to my spectrum of readers.
Yes, that was fast huh?
Just the other night, an ADULT, Yup, approached me (on her own will!!) and enquired about my blog.
Looks like my dream of professionalizing my blog is finally materializing in front of me.

OH yeah!!!!!!!
Blow the balloons! Put up the streamers! Pop the champagne!

Ok lar, fine, it sounds to good to be true anyway.

That so called certified adult was my

MOM

Yes. Well, err, uh.
I guess 3 abbreviated little words can sum up my situation.

FML

Haha. Oh well.

So. Note to my new soon-to-be reader.

Hi Mummy!! You are reading your son's blog.
How did ja find it? Tough eh, my URL.
Well, this is where I write about things.
I have many readers, I think.
So, err, feel free to drop your comments. Just don't embarrass me ok?
And yeah, of course, I only post after I've finished my homework.

Wednesday- Wakes up at 12

It feels nice waking up and knowing most of my friends just finished 7 periods of lessons (plus rehat).

Oh, yup. I didn't go to school today.
I was down with a fever and I called in sick.
Err, well, I called Kok Ming to tell him that I was sick. At least he'll be able to satisfy the
'Where is Chuas'.
At least my sudden (Innocent) absence will not be marred with suspicions of truancy/ponteng.
I hope.

Well, for how I got sick. Heheh.
FYI, shit happens to me regularly.
I've been trudging through shit all my life.
But hey, that's life right?
We'll just have to face them.
Get them f*cking done and over with
And emerge victorious (of course while cracking dirty jokes and rolling cigarette leaves)
...
Before the next wave shit happens.

So, que flashback! (ala 3rd person. I have serious time to kill anyway.)

"No, don't get any heavier!" he pleads as he looks up to the cloud filled sky that is bombarding the residents of Cheras with rain.

"BOOM," his prayers are replied almost sadistically as thunder and lightning rage above him as if saying "Hah, yeah right"

"Fuck!" He shouts back uselessly at the clouds.
Knowing starting verbal fights with mother nature will not do him any good, nor results, our
intrepid, stupid and stubborn blogger, armed with only an umbrella embarks on his journey. To where you might ask?
A place of tutelage: MC.
A place where one gets the privilege of joy
Whilst learning the ins and outs of language
With the comfort of friends, 3 air conditioning units and a quick sighting of someone :)
All under the guidance of a seriously damn good teacher: sir

Then it hits him. 3 air conditioning units!
With the drenched clothes on his back, he knows he'll probably last a few minutes in a room
with a steady flow of frigidly cold air supplied by 3 bloody air cons before he becomes an icicle.

Of course, his grim realisation couldn't have come earlier.
Having already made it to the foot of Fresh Hill, he cannot do anything but walk in the direction he originally set.
"Oh well" he mutters to himself. A chuckle and a grin later, he walks shielding himself from the downpour only with a flimsy umbrella, a string of comforting sms-es and a rose-coloured attitude.

Well, it ends with him returning home sick, cold and tired.
Oh well.
Shit happens.

Life begins at 3am

Yes.
It's 3 in the morning.
Yes.
Normal people would be sleeping at this time.
Yes.
Even the noisy and drunk hokkien speaking uncles across the road have gone to bed.
Yes.
School starts tomorrow.
Yes.
I should sleep.
Yes.
I really should sleep.
Then.
What am I doing up?
Seriously.
Shouldn't I be running in a field full of daffodils and petunias now?
Well.
It's because I can't.
I do.
I really do want to sleep.
Sleep.
Is what I want,
But I can't.
I have a condition.
Diagnosis?
Caffeine induced insomnia.
Coffee.
Did I think twice when I gulped it down?
No.
Did I foresee a night full of tossing and turning?
No.
Was I aware of an impending battle as I subjugate my body to succumb to sleep.
No.
Have I learned my lesson?
Yes.
Oh well.
Dumb ass.

A Tigerish Year

My piggy bank got fatter, my table is littered with red packets, my throat's sore and scratchy,
the fridge is overflowing with mandarin oranges and the smell of gun powder is in the air.
Ahhhhh,

That's right, Chinese New Year just came, (in a huge ballyhoo of firecrackers, pounding drums, sweet and sour yee sang, curious relatives and the whole nine yards) and left us a whole new year to look forward to.

So, how was it for you guys?

For me, it was like any chinese new year I had celebrated before.
I had to face..

THE RELATIVES

Like any Malaysian holiday, most of my friends will be visiting their if not, their parents' home towns but it's slightly different for me.
What I'm trying to say is, what if the grandma, the matriarch of the family, the nucleus the clan is living in the guest room right under the very same roof as you?
Then, may Choy San, the God of Prosperity have mercy on you as you'll be facing wave after wave of kukus, ku changs, kao foos, tai kau foos, kau moes, ah yees from every corner of Malaysia. Oh GOD, was that a mouthful.

Well, sure, the money comes to you but it really is double edged.
For one thing, you can kiss that peace and silence you revel in good bye.
Every car that honks on our gate will be a relative you forgot what to call.
And what if the language spoken isn't universal?
You'll be waking up to languages not used to and communication will be something so jumbled up because while you grew up, you sort of cut off my mother tongue.

Well, that's what I endure every time the season comes.
Though it may seem stressful the chaos can sometimes be fun to deal with.
Have a happy new year...

Rain

hey. Do you like rain?
No I'm not talking about a Korean superstar.

Oh rain,
From the skies above,
You make your descent,
To terra firma,
As heaven-sent.

With a rhythmic pelt,
You drum on my windows,
And outside you're felt,
Washing people's sorrows.
You cool my nights,
As your steady beating,
Has me lulled,
Till I'm deep sleeping.

So rain,
Rain, don't go away,
Who cares,
If you make the skies gray,
Who gives a damn,
If the children can't play,
(They're too noisy anyway)
I say,
you're OK,
You make my day.

Well almost.
As I'm seating,
Marveling,
You make me yearn,
For that seat beside me,
To be filled you see,
It's still not close,
To true perfection,
Without that
Person of my affection. :)

Eh, where am I?

What happens if you find yourself lost in unfamiliar ground?
Imagine looking around frantically for a building, a signpost, a stretch of road or anything familiar to your eyes that will ring that tiny bell in your head.

Now, imagine being cold and hungry, with a few coins jingling in your pocket. What do you do?

Well, for starters, you walk.
Whether you're walking in the right way, that's another matter but it's better than being stationary.

So, with every step taking you further into the never-before-seen, you start to absorb what you see. You enquire about your whereabouts from signboards or maybe a local only to find out that you're lost in a Taman or Jalan you've never heard of before.

Though you can safely say you're standing waist-high in shit you don't. You manage to keep a nonchalant composure and with a cup half-full attitude, you actually enjoy your unwanted misplacement.

You enjoy this sudden change in plans. An anomaly in your monotonous life. It amuses you that if everything went as how it was suppose to be, you'd be doing homework at home right this minute. Oh well.

Well, give it a few hours walking and finally you find something that reminds you of home.
Alas! Your environment starts to bear a familiarity and you map your way back.
Awaiting a curious family member, a hot meal, and the best fucking shower you ever had. Ha ha

A short AWOL

Guess who's back. I'm being held back by a big effing tsunami (of homework, stay backs and guitar class) I'm drenched and water-logged.
And with my organizational skills that resemble a 70 year old secretary, lets say I'm drowning in work.
As you can see, I barely have time for the Internet.
God I miss you, Youtube, Facebook, Google.
I miss wasting my precious teenage years slumped in front of the computer.

Though, I assure you that my period of absence is over...
I'll be regulating my posts come rain or sun shine :D

Though my life may sound sad and packed, I'm actually living my life on the happy side.
I come to school cheerful, i walk back to school with a whistling tune at the tip of my tongue.
Life's great. I sleep and wake up with a fluorescent bright smile.
I even accepted today's cane to the behind happily (which kinda pissed off the teacher)
Why? It's all because of you.

You've become the nucleus of all my jubilance.
You are the one that keeps me up when I'm down
You bring me higher when I'm already up.
Happiness pulses with every beat of my heart.

Thank you :)

weeding

Here's a counter-post directed to lindsay virgo :)

Who turned my tedious jobs of pulling weeds into something to laugh about.
But now that you mention it, it DOES look like someone's spine (in a dark and sick way)

Of course. Weeding calms me very much. Therapeutic so to speak. haha.
Here's to future weeding sessions :D

First Week

The first week of schooling has already ended!! Cheers people.
Now, all that we have to do now is do go through it 40 times!!

For me, it was chaotic as usual.
I started out going to my 4Science2 class only to find how boring and lonely it was. You can say it was a malay dominant class. Of course, chinese people prefer handling calculators and dissecting knives than pens and paint brushes.
In a non-racist way, I, a rooster entered a cage filled with pigeons.

The whole time I was there, every chai who entered my class would excite me thinking it was Boon. "Where the eff is Boon?!?!?"

Well, at least i learned a lesson. A contradiction to what most civic teachers blab about. Follow your road my ass!!

So, now, I am proud to be in 4Science1. Though, I dislike Biology. I'll probably hold a strike when the dissecting comes. It's not that I'm squeamish. I believe that we don't have the right to take a living thing's life (excluding weeds) in the name of science or any other name.

So. here are the weird and wonderful teachers of 4sc1.

Mr Ganeshan(Phy) a.k.a Mr G
He's one of the dudes. Talks like the dudes.
Quote(to Boon) : Thambi Illeh Kunji. Brother, you don't own a "you-know-what"

Mr Chan(hist) a.k.a Ah Chat
Undescribable. He scares almost everyone in class (not me). From his sudden mood changes to his sudden jumps into drama mode. In a nut shell, he's just weird.
Quote(TO me) : Oleh sebab kau dapat 7A, saya akan gunting rambut depan sahaja. *snip* (My fringe reduced to a freshly mown lawn)

Mz Dodampe(ENg) a.k.a Mz Dodampe
Same teacher from last year. Always correcting our grammar. Still fun and motherly.
Expect a lot of brainstorming sessions.
Quote (To Class) : You all have seeds of greatness within.

Pn Norhana(Chem) a.k.a yet to be named
She's new to the class. So, i can't say much.
Quote (to me) : Anwering my question- "Is chemistry fun?" - "NO"

Pn Chua(add maths) a.k.a Mummy!!!
Well, what else do you expect from AM teachers. What, teacher? HUH?
Quote (to class) : Add Maths lingo- one to one, many to many, many to one etc.

Well. that's all i can think of. The rest are either never seen before or are too boring to be written down. haha

Well, it seems Sc1 will be a great class!!

Form 4

It's almost new year... once again, time has unexpectedly flew right by without consent. Almost all my days were spent facing my computer screen, books, and weeds. (there goes my eyesight)
Well, this time, I'm not gonna tell you how I wasted my holidays because believe it or not, I feel contented and I'm waiting to start wearing crisp white shirts and tacky green slacks again. (no sarcasm intended)

Furthermore, next year will be a very important year. That's when I'll be moving up the educational ladder: I'll be Form 4!!

Form 4, where our subjects will be focused on our chosen streams.
Have you chosen yours yet?
Just like little fishes swimming up stream. As we swim further inland, forks in the river will force us to choose paths. Each path promising different obstacles we must face in the future.

So, which path do we take?
Well, if you were a fish in my school, the smart ones are always urged to choose classes from the science stream, and the not-so-smarts ones are given the others, like arts.
they always tell us, we are free to choose whatever we like but sometimes it just seems so bias.
What happened to learning? That's the reason we're in schools right? To learn is our biggest responsibility. But for one thing, the subject doesn't choose you, you choose the subject.

The class division should be based on your interest other than your ability. Like people say, when there's will, there's a way!
So, choose wisely. Ask yourself, do you really want to learn this? Is this what you see yourself in 20 years?

Donald Trump's quote: To be successful, you must enjoy what you do.

That's right, never let the numbers in your paycheck cloud your decision no matter how many digits they are! Would you rather be rich or happy?
So,
remember this.
Like what you do, do what you like.

Eddie's 15!!!

Lucky Eddie's day is today,
So here I'm blogging just to say,
Act your age! Be a man!
If not, you'll never get your Gwen.

And remember whenenver you're teased,
About being a (*cough cough*) shawty, that is,
A man ain't measured by his height,
But actually through his wallet's might.

As i'm sitting here writing this,
You're probably in a pub taking swigs,
Though I'm don't want to spoil the mood,
Make sure you don't wake up with another dude,

So Happy Birthday, i say through text,
Have fun and make sure you survive till the next,
Before i leave you with your celebrating,
"Ya lar, I know, i srewed up genting.

Halfway down the road

Yo. Kj here. Well, it's already december. Yes, old father time suddenly took flight and wizzed by under our very noses.
So. Here am i to torment you on how you wasted your precious time.
Pretty soon we'll all be back in desks, facing the same teachers
as we surf the pages of our loathsome text books.

Ok lah. I won't be a wet blanket for you guys lah. Enjoy what you have now. Well i'm certaintly
enjoying my days. Just chilling. Okay. Maybe more like sleeping and couch potato-ing. Hehe.
Just enjoy that blissed moment of complete nothingness.

So. Lesson of the day. Don't think of what's at the end of the road. Focus on your journey. Record every step. Cherish every moment. Live!!!

Express!!

Hey. i was checking out Namewee's new video on Youtube (Namewee *&^% TNB) .
Well, that's when I inserted a new topic into my cranial forum, the freedom of expression.
As many democratic countries there are, the freedom of expression is one necessity that must be granted. We have power to speak and express whatever we want to. Heck, I'm even doing it now.
Still, many people think we're not given the whole deal here.
Well, from the video comments, I can see the rakyat is making a big brouhaha out of this freedom. Putting it into trivial matters. As I read the comments one by one, it really saddens me (sampai boleh menitis air mata) how people argue among one another. It ashames me that these people are Malaysians. Let me show you couple of those comments. (some are kinda vulgar, seriously!!!)

ntyang88
You not only drop our chinese reputation, you also put us malaysian's reputation at risk by posting this on youtube!! Talk about patriotic duh

ntyang88
Dear Namewee, I agree with you that break downs really caused alot of troubles and I also quite mad about it. But there's no need to go to the office shouting @^$($! here and there, really drop us Chinese 'water face'

desire817 <LOL>
Hello boss, I'm chinese. Look at my face it's yellow, look at my skin, it's yellow! And my favorite lunch is Char Siew Fan!Obviously I'm trying to make a joke that there are some stupid chinese. Don't join those group.

callmesu
this shows how INEFFICIENT tnb muar is. from the way they talk, they way they handle the situation, the way they respond was poor. the staff working were giving tnb a bad name.

desire817
First thing first, I'm a racist. Why? Because Melayu bodoh and Chinese so hai. This is what they call the "first world facility, third world maintenance".If you're a Malaysian, migrate. Because the cops are crocked, the politician corrupted and the citizen lazy. Live some where else and contribute to the world. To be honest, Malaysia is god forsaken country. For those of you who think you can change thing around by "voting" then good luck lah.

deanloh
People listen up: 10 million internet users are watching Youtube each day, just this video alone already exceeded 10,000 views. Before you post another angry comment, let's all of us slow down a little start to be objective. The issue here is a corporation in Malaysia, named TNB who have failed to do its job properly. So our comment, be it good or bad, shall be focused on the company. This has absolutely nothing to do with races. Malay kah, Chinese kah, Indian kah, have nothing to do with it.

shawnlch
TNB semua makan Babi jilat Pussy,TNB never fully give their responsibility..TNB only know collecting Money and cut ur electricity...TNB Tiu Nia Bu...TNB,nama saya Shawn Lee

deanloh
I have to agree with fredooi2. It doesn't help by using poison against poison. Namewee bro, I truly share your frustration and I would be so fxxking mad too if lost my work just because some people failed to do their job. But two wrongs do not make one right. TNB might just turn around and sue you back for defamation, and when that happens, not only you get yourself in trouble, 麻玻还是继续停电!

So, there you go... see how 'responsible' and 'mature' these youtubers are.
Although I do agree that TNB is a u-know-what and can go you-know-where but what that dear Namewee did is kind of too much.
Sure, it brings up these problem so that the goverment can fix them up and he IS speaking out for our rights, but Namewee oh Namewee, why did you have to go show this to the whole youtube world.
Sure, our country needs to be put on the map but this is BAD PUBLICITY...
Pretty soon you'll see tourists flocking to the TNB building in Muar..
"look mom! That Namewee guy was here when he shouted TNB (*cough cough*) etc"

Not only that, because of this, not only the quality of our infrastructure is questioned, it brings in a whole lot of other BAD BAD BAD topics. The government, religion, racial issues blah blah...
C'mon.. here's a note to all expressionists, Bloggers, Vloggers, Youtubers, from the moment we signed up for these accounts, we were given this responsibility. Whatever we upload or write about is on a free show for all eyes to see. So, not only for the sake of our 'water face', think about our country, dear MALAYSIA.

post PMR boredom

With the exams over ( i know, my posts are always PMR this, PMR that),
I can finally get back life! This frog is getting out of his coconut shell. I shall return to the world!!!
Still, i'm waiting for that little ounce of freedom i was promised.
But even if i were given the keys to my parental lock, for the time being I just want to rest, relax and reenter another world. A world connected by data highways where one could go anywhere one wanted.
The internet of course....

back to chatting, blogging, youtubing, illegal mp3 downloading and the sort. ok.. youtubing's not a word.

Well,
my school as the wet blanket it is, is making our break a boring one.

In a desperate attempt to keep their Form 3s from running wild..thanks to the school there will be talks and more talks and lectures about our future.
I wouldn't have mind if they were more fun or entertaining.. really
Today we had talks in the hall, unattentive's word and it's only the first day..
The funny thing is, these talks are actually chasing the pupils away.
day by day more and more are playing hooky..

By the way, our class planned a mass tardy tomorrow. It will be a sight when half of 3 Amanah fail to show up tomorrow.

Sorry.. was i being too critical about the talks?
like i said, i would gladly listen to these talks (as they tell us more about the classes we'll be going to next year) if they were the least more interesting than watching paint dry.
Although i do already know which class i wil go when i'm in Form 4.
gee, where are Harith Iskandar, Russel Peters or even Achmed ( the dead terrorist!!!!) when you need them...

well..
till the paint dries
Good bye.
